Documentation Support
Extensive documentation supports all TMS320
DSP family generations of devices from product
announcement through applications development. The types of documentation available include: data
sheets, such as this document, with design specifications; complete user’s reference guides for all devices
and tools; technical briefs; development-support tools; on-line help; and hardware and software applications.
The following is a brief, descriptive list of support documentation specific to the C6000
DSP devices:
The
TMS320C6000 CPU and Instruction Set Reference Guide
C6000 The TMS320C6000 DSP Peripherals Overview Reference Guide
(literature number SPRU190) provides an
overview and briefly describes the functionality of the peripherals available on the C6000
DSP platform of
devices. This document also includes a table listing the peripherals available on the C6000 devices along with
literature numbers and hyperlinks to the associated peripheral documents.
The
TMS320C64x Technical Overview
(literature number SPRU395) gives an introduction to the C64x
digital signal processor, and discusses the application areas that are enhanced by the C64x
DSP
VelociTI.2
VLIW architecture.
TMS320C6000 DSP Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) Module Peripheral Reference Guide
(literature number
SPRU175) describes the functionality of the I
2
C peripheral.
TMS320C6000 DSP Ethernet Media Access Controller (EMAC)/ Management Data Input/Output (MDIO)
Module Reference Guide
(literature number SPRU628) describes the functionality of the EMAC and MDIO
peripherals.
The
TMS320C6412 Digital Signal Processor Silicon Errata
(literature number SPRZ199) describes the known
exceptions to the functional specifications for particular silicon revisions of the TMS320C6412 device.
The
TMS320C6412 Power Consumption Summary
application report (literature number SPRA967)
discusses the power consumption for user applications with the TMS320C6412 DSP device.
The
Using IBIS Models for Timing Analysis
application report (literature number SPRA839) describes how to
properly use IBIS models to attain accurate timing analysis for a given system.
The tools support documentation is electronically available within the Code Composer Studio
Integrated
Development Environment (IDE). For a complete listing of C6000
DSP latest documentation, visit the Texas
Instruments web site on the Worldwide Web at http://www.ti.com uniform resource locator (URL).
