Bits 7-4 HT H (Handshake-to-Handshake
T imer Period)
T hese bits select the handshake-to-handshake
time-out period, the maximum time between
SCSI handshakes (SREQ/ to SREQ/ in target
mode, or SACK / to SACK / in initiator mode).
When this timing is exceeded, an interrupt is
generated and the HT H bit in the SIST 1 regis-
ter is set. T he following table contains time-out
periods for the Handshake-to-Handshake
T imer, the Selection/Reselection T imer (bits 3-
0), and the General Purpose T imer (ST IME1
bits 3-0). For a more detailed explanation of
interrupts, refer to Chapter 2, “Functional
Description.”
Bits 3-0 SE L (Selection T ime-Out)
T hese bits select the SCSI selection/reselection
time-out period. When this timing (plus the

s selection abort time) is exceeded, the
ST O bit in the SIST 1 register is set. For a
more detailed explanation of interrupts, refer
to Chapter 2, “Functional Description.”
