15.4.4 Clocks versus Functions
Table 15-5, “LCD Controller Internal Clock Requirements”, lists the internal clocks required for the
following LCD Controller functions.
Note:
PWMCLK is an optional clock (see Section 15.4.2, “LCDC PWMCLK” on page 120).
15.5 Display Memory Area
The default base address for the display memory is F400000h. Even though the display memory
assigned space is 64M bytes, there is actually only 112K bytes of physical memory. Access beyond
the 112K bytes of memory address will return unexpected values.
15.6 Register Descriptions
The default base address for the LCDC registers is F0000000h. All non-reserved register bits default
to 0 unless specified otherwise.
15.6.1 Read-Only Configuration Registers
bits 31–26 Product Code Bits [5:0]
These read-only bits indicate the product code. The product code is 001010 (0Ah).
bits 25–24 Revision Code Bits [1:0]
These are read-only bits that indicates the revision code. The revision code is 01.
bits 15–8
Display Buffer Size Bits [7:0]
This is a read-only register that indicates the size of the SRAM display buffer measured
in 4K byte increments. The S1C38000 display buffer is 112K bytes and therefore this
register returns a value of 28 (1Ch).
Value of this register = display buffer size
÷ 4K bytes
= 112K bytes
÷ 4K bytes
= 28 (1Ch)
bits 7–2
Product Code Bits [5:0]
These read-only bits indicate the product code. The product code is 001010 (0Ah).
bits 1–0
Revision Code Bits [1:0]
These are read-only bits that indicates the revision code. The revision code is 01.
