This bit is reserved and must be set to 1.

These bits are reserved and must be set to 0.
bit 7
Receive Interrupt End
By writing a 1 to this bit clears all the receive interrupts generated and pending receive
interrupts in the status FIFO, as well as the actual receive data length register, will be
reset.
bit 6
Interrupt Enable
When a 1 is written transmit and receive interrupts are enabled when the device is
operating in a continuous packet mode.
bit 5
Transmit Reset
When a 1 is written to this bit the transmitter circuit of this device is reset. All of the
status bits associated with the transmission of data (IrDA[00h] read only, bits 2 and 0)
are reset. The mode setting bits are not effected.
bit 4
Receiver Reset
When a 1 is written to this bit the receiver circuit of this device is reset. All of the status
bits associated with the reception of data are reset, with the exception of the Receive
Data Available status bit. The Receive Data Available status bit is only cleared by
emptying the receive FIFO. The mode setting bits are not effected.
bit 3
Timer Reset
When a 1 is written to this bit the following occurs:
the timer circuit is reset.
the timer interrupt cause bit is reset (IRDA[04h] RO bit 11).
the timer is loaded with the timer counter initial value (IRDA[18h]).
bit 2
System Reset
When a 1 is written to this bit a software reset is provided to the device and resets all
functions of the device.
bit 1
Carrier Latch Reset
When a 1 is written to this bit the carrier latch status bit (IRDA[00h] RO bit 9) is reset to
0.
bit 0
Tx/Rx Data Length Counter Select
The value in this bit selects between the Actual data length counter for the Receiver and
the Transmitter. A 0 selects the Receiver Actual Data Length Counter, and a 1 selects the
Transmitter Actual Data Length Counter when IRDA[08h] is read.
