Chip Information
Bits 5-0: PD6729 Revision Level
This field identifies the revision of the controller.
Bits 7-6: PD6729 PC Card Controller Identification
This field identifies a PD6729 device. After chip reset or doing an I/O write to this register, the first
read of this register will return a 11b. On the next read, this field will be 00b. This pattern of
toggling data on subsequent reads can be used by software to determine presence of a PD6729 in a
system or to determine occurrence of a device reset.
