1.3 - Potentiometercircuitry
With the internal DC to 4-bit value convertor you
can control the output volume just with a simple
potentiometer of 100k
. When switched to DC
volume control mode , the contentsof the volume
Register 10 are up-dated with the 4-bit convertor
valueof thepotentiometercircuitry. The4-bit value
volume control register is up-dated at least every
100ms .The potentiometercircuitry has an hyster-
esis of 1/2 LSB. The DC potentiometercircuitry is
shownin Figure9.
Maximum attenuation of -45dB is obtained when
DC_pot pin is set at DVDD potential. When at
ground,attenuationis minimal (0dB).

2 - Mute Function
The mute function allows each input and output
channeltobesilencedindependently.Thisfunction
maintainstheconfiguration(gain,attenuation,mix-
ingconfiguration)duringthemuteandunmute.The
output channels should be muted when the sam-
pling frequency is changed.
