ing applications. This feature permits one to construct a
mosaic of several abutting subimages in the (x, y) plane,
without danger of edge effect interference between adjacent
subimages. Note in the figure that the upper right and lower
right corners of the resampled image lie outside the admis-
sible region; in practice, the values fetched at these locations
will not be included in the convolutional sums.
