CHAPTER 3: PERIPHERAL CIRCUITS (Oscillation Circuit)
3.3 Oscillation Circuit
The S1C621A0 contains an OSC1 (32.768 kHz) crystal
oscillation circuit and an OSC3 (455 kHz) ceramic oscillation
circuit*. Either the OSC1 or OSC3 can be selected as the
CPU operation clock by software. Figures 3.3.1 and 3.3.2
show block diagrams of the oscillation circuit.

By using the mask option it is possible to connect a CR oscilla-
tion circuit in place of the ceramic oscillation circuit, or it is
possible to forgo the use of the OSC3 circuit.
