Resonator Circuitry
Figure 23
shows the recommended ceramic resonator circuitry. When using an external
resonator, its frequency can be within the range of 3 MHz to 12 MHz. A resonator load
circuitry must be used, connected to both pins, XTAL1 and XTAL2. It normally consists
of two load capacitances C

, and in some cases, a feedback (R

) and/or damp

) resistor might be necessary.
