The PSD product line is the market’s first single-chip peripheral solution for microcontroller-
based applications where factors such as fast time-to-market, small form factor, low cost,
and low power consumption are essential. PSD products provide all the necessary control
and peripheral elements needed in a microcontroller-based system with no external discrete
“glue” logic required. The PSD211R has been tailored to meet these needs in high-volume,
cost sensitive applications.
The PSD211R can be used with virtually any 8-bit, multiplexed-bus microcontroller to create
a very powerful two chip solution. A complete set of simple, low-cost software and hardware
development tools are available to support PSD211R designs. Hosted on an IBM PC or
compatible platform, easy to use PSDsoft software enables designers to quickly configure
the device for immediate use.
