The synchronousmode is the default mode, if no

The transmitter reads the bits in the DUAL Ram

X.6.2.1- HDLC Transmit
TheHDLC Transmitterperformsthefollowingtasks:
- Flag generation(7E) while in inter-frame.
- Flag generation(7E) at the beginingof a frame.
- Zero insertion (after5 consecutive“1”).
- CRC16 computation.
- CRC16 transmission at the end of a frame.
- Flaggeneration(7E) at the end of a frame.
- Abort frame.
- Programmablenumber of Starting flags.
- Programmablenumber of Inter frameflags.
- Programmablenumber of Ending flags.

The HDLC Receiver performsthe following tasks:
- Flagrecognition.

- Closing flag recognition.
- Abort frame detection.
- Received CRC.

- CRC16 Error : Wrong CRC received.
- Nonbyte-allignedframe : The number of Data bits
betweenthebeginingoftheframeandtheendofthe
frame(after“zero”deletion)is notabyte-multiple.
- Aborted frame : More that 6 consecutive “1” re-
ceived.
X.6.3 - UART Mode
In the UART mode the buffers contains only one
Characterto transmitor received.The worsecase
of interruptrate isobtainedwiththe lowercharacter
bit length(7bitof data, no parityand 1 stopbit) and
is providedin the following table.
