The BANKSEL bit in the C1CTLR1 register can switch functions for addresses 02A0h to 02BFh.

Values are obtained by setting the SLEEP bit in the C1SLPR register to “1” (sleep mode exited) after reset and supplying a clock to the CAN
module.

The CAN-associated registers (allocated in addresses 01E0h to 02BFh) cannot be used in M32C/87B. In M32C/87A, only CAN0-associated
registers can be used.
4.
Set the PM13 bit in the PM1 register to 1 (2 wait states for SFR area) before accessing the CAN-associated registers.
