10. Denitions
10.1 Static parameters
10.1.1 INL (integral non-linearity)
It is dened as the deviation of the transfer function from a best t straight line (linear
regression computation). The INL of the code i is obtained from the equation:
where: S is corresponding to the slope of the ideal straight line (code width); i is
corresponding to the code value; Vin is the input voltage.
10.1.2 DNL (differential non-linearity)
It is the deviation in code width from the value of 1 LSB.
where: Vin is the input voltage; i from 0 to (2n 2).
10.2 Dynamic parameters
conforming to coherent sampling (ft/fs = M/N, with M number of cycles and N number of
samples, M and N being relatively prime), and digitized by the ADC under test.
