4.1.1 The RS232 connector pinout

Send data, P800 transmits data on this pin.
Receive data, P800 receives data on this pin.
Driven high by P800 when it wants to transmit.
Must be high or open to permit P800 to send.

Sent low by P800 when not ready to receive.
Sent low by P800 when not ready to receive.
4.1.2 Typical RS232 Cable Configuration
Note: For systems using Xon/Xoff protocol a three wire connection is sufficient. Resistors in
the P800 will hold handshake lines in the correct polarity. A 3 wire connection may not work
reliably with Windows / Windows95 applications, including SCOM WIN, SCOM WIN95.
