Jitter Attenuator (Hardware Mode and Host Mode)
J itter Attenuator may be placed either transmitter path or receiver path, or bypassed according to
J ASELR and J ASELT both in Hardware Mode and Host Mode as described in table 2. J itter
Attenuators are to be placed at the same place in channel 1 through channel 4.

AIS (Hardware Mode and Host Mode)
AIS in channel x is selected when AISx is “high”. In AIS mode the TPOS and TNEG inputs are
ignored, but the transmitter remains locked to the TCLK input. AIS can be enabled
simultaneously with Local Loopback. AIS overdrives Remote Loopback. In this mode, either all
ones or all zeros are transmitted according to the AIS1SEL selection. (see table 3)
