13.1 Flash Memory Programming
The program memory provided to the
μ
PD78F9026A is flash memory.
The flash memory can be written on-board, i.e., with the
μ
PD78F9026A mounted on the target system.
To do so, connect a dedicated flash writer (Flashpro III (Part number: FL-PR3, PG-FP3)) to the host machine
and target system.
Remark
FL-PR3 is a product of Naito Densei Machida Mfg. Co., Ltd.
13.1.1 Selecting communication mode
The flash memory is written by using Flashpro III and by means of serial communication. Select a
communication mode from those listed in Table 13-2. To select a communication mode, the format shown in Figure
13-1 is used. Each communication mode is selected depending on the number of V
PP
pulses shown in Table 13-2.
