internal and external synchronization
The ’AV420 is capable of generating internal and accepting external horizontal and vertical
video-synchronization signals. These signals are connected to the ’AV420 HSYNC and VSYNC bidirectional
terminals. The terminal EXTEN controls the synchronization operation.
In the internal synchronization mode, the HSYNC and the VSYNC are output terminals. The internal sync-signal
generator (SSG) generates all the HSYNC and the VSYNC timing. Figure 8 through Figure 10 show different
aspects of the ’AV420 internal synchronization timing.
