SLOS674 – JUNE 2010
6-Channel Video Amplifier with 3-SD and 3-SD/ED/HD/Full-HD Filters and High Gain
1
FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
2345
Three SDTV Video Amplifiers for CVBS,
Fabricated using the revolutionary, complementary
S-Video, Y’/P’B/P’R, 480i/576i, Y’U’V’, or G'B'R'
Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) BiCom3X process, the
THS7360 is a low-power, single-supply, 2.7-V to 5-V,
Three SD/ED/HD/Full-HD Selectable Filters for
six-channel integrated video buffer. It incorporates
Y’/P’B/P’R, G’B’R’, or Computer RGB
three SDTV filter channels and three selectable filter
Bypassable Sixth-Order Low-Pass Filters:
(SF) channels with SD/ED/HD/Full-HD (also known
–
Fixed SD Channels: 9.5-MHz
as
True-HD)

filtering.
All
filters
feature
sixth-order Butterworth characteristics that are useful
–
Selectable Filter (SF) Channels:
as digital-to-analog converter (DAC) reconstruction
9.2-MHz/17-MHz/35-MHz/70-MHz
filters
or
as
analog-to-digital
converter
(ADC)
Versatile Input Biasing:
anti-aliasing filters.
–
DC-Coupled with 120-mV Output Shift
The
THS7360
also
has
flexible
input
coupling
–
AC-Coupled with Sync-Tip Clamp or Bias
capabilities that can be configured for either ac- or
Gain of 5.6 V/V (SD Channels) and
dc-coupled inputs. The 120-mV output level shift
allows for a full sync dynamic range at the output with
4.5 V/V (SF Channels)
0-V
input.
The
ac-coupled
modes
include
a
+2.7-V to +5-V Single-Supply Operation
transparent sync-tip clamp option for CVBS, Y', and
Rail-to-Rail Output:
G'B'R' signals. AC-coupled biasing for C'/P'B/P'R
–
Output Swings Within 100 mV from the
channels can easily be achieved by adding an
external resistor to VS+.
Rails: Allows AC or DC Output Coupling
–
Supports Driving Two Video Lines/Channel
The THS7360 is an ideal choice for all video buffer
applications. Its rail-to-rail output stage with 5.6-V/V
Low Total Quiescent Current: 24.5 mA at 3.3 V
gain (for SD channels) and 4.5-V/V gain (for SF
Disabled Supply Current Function: 0.1 mA
channels) allows for both ac and dc line driving. The
Low Differential Gain/Phase: 0.15%/0.35°
ability to drive two lines, or 75-
loads, allows for
maximum flexibility as a video line driver. The
RoHS-Compliant TSSOP-20 Package
24.5-mA total quiescent current at 3.3 V and 0.1 mA
(disabled mode) makes it a good choice for systems
