7.5.3 Speaker fault detection
A speaker fault protection has been built in to prevent damage to the speaker when one
side of the speaker is connected to ground: during amplifier start-up, just before the
start-up mute release (VSVR = 4.6 V), there is a missing-current check. If the missing
current is 1 A, a speaker fault is assumed. Therefore, when a load resistor of 4
is
connected to ground, the amplifier channel will not switch off but indicates a speaker fault.
(1) Capacitor can be 2200
F to 10000 F.
