To set the SLIC into operation the following parametershave to be defined:
- The AC SLIC impedance at line terminals ”Zs” to which the return loss measurementsis referred. It can
bereal (typ.600
) or complex.
- The equivalentAC impedanceof the line ”Zl” used for evaluationof the trans-hybridloss performance
(2/4 wireconversion).It is usually a compleximpedance.
- The value of the two protection resistors Rp inseries with the linetermination.
Once, the above parameters are defined,it is possible to calculateall the externalcomponentsusing the
following table. The typical values has been obtained supposing:Zs = 600
