memory size switching register (IMS).

When an internal ROM is set to 60 Kbytes, the area of F000H to F3FFH is not available. Setting the
internal ROM to 56 Kbytes or less (or to 48 Kbytes only for the

PD78P0018Y) enables the area of F000H
to F3FFH to be used as an external memory.

When an internal ROM is set to 60 Kbytes, the area of E000H to EFFFH is not available. By setting the
internal ROM to 56 Kbytes or less, the internal ROM can be used as an external memory within the range
of the last address to EFFFH.
