Oki Semiconductor
Z0122 (2-port) and Z0100 (4-port)
USB 1.1 Host Controllers (Virtual Component Soft IPs)
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Oki Semiconductor’s Z0122 and Z0100 USB 1.1 Host Controllers (2-port and 4-port respectively) are designed to manage
the control and data flow between the host and the USB device, and collect the status / activity statistics.
There are five major blocks in the Z0122 and Z0100 USB 1.1 Host Controllers:
The HCI Master block handles all the read / writes initiated by the Host Controller to the system memory.
The HCI Slave block is the interface between the OHCI operational registers and the application.
The List Processor block has multiple state machines to implement List Service Flow, List Priority, USB – states, ED,
TD services, Status write Back, TD retirement etc. as per the OHCI specification.
The Root Hub acts as wrapper around HSIE and interfaces with Host Controller’s List Processor block, FIFO and OHCI
Registers.
The Root Hub Port Configuration block implements the part of the OHCI Registers that are specific to the Root Hub and
a state machine for every Down Stream Port to control the port functional states.
FEARURES
