Functional Description
The main components of the Video Inlet are depicted in the
detailed block diagram below. Three modes of operation are
supported: MJPEG real-time capture, uncompressed YUV
capture and still image full resolution capture. The system is
capable of capturing up to CIF resolution real-time video with
simultaneous display on the PC monitor. This high quality video
is enabled by using the Zoran ZR36060 Integrated JPEG codec.
The Video Inlet, bundled with simple to use video capture and
editing applications, will create the market for low-cost video
capture and editing on the PC.

Pentium processor; 166 MHz minimum

USB port on PC or hub

Win95 (with OSR 2.1) or Win98 operating system

Video source (NTSC or PAL, composite)

Hard disk space for capture (about 45MB/minute at best
quality level.)
