
2.3 CLOCK AND TIMING GENERATOR
The whole timing is derived from XTI input fre-
quency which can be an external generator or a
crystal signal thanks to XTO/XTI oscillator.This
clock is alsopixel frequencywhich can be chosen
between 8MHz to 10MHz (pxlck). This clock is
availableonCKOpin.ItshouldbeusefortheMCU,
saving a crystal in the application.
The activeareaof avideo lineis 320 pixelsperiods
long (40 characters of 8 pixels wide). Number of
linesperframe,margin width,line duration,leading
and trailingedgesofhorizontalsynchronizationare
fully programmable in CRT mode using VERT,
HORI, HSYN registers.
A RESET, can be applied to STV9410 by pulling
low V
REF
pin (
≤
0.4V).
On RESET,default values are forced into configu-
ration registersand video outputs are at low level.
All unusedbit of registers arealways read as ”0”.
