DESCRIPTION
The 160-output, 5-value segment (column) driver SED1580 is designed to drive MLS (Multi Line Selection) for
enabling high contrast and high-speed response and used with the SED1751. This device can be connected to
the LCD controller SED1335/1351/1360 when combinedly used with the SED1751.
Since the display data is stored in the built-in display RAM and liquid crystal drive signals are output, a display
system with a ultra-low power demand can be achieved by stopping display data transmission from the controller
except when the display is to be changed.
The SED1580 can apply to a wide variety of application since its slim shape is advantageous for narrowing the LCD
panel architecture and the logic system power supply can be operated with a low voltage.
