NOTES
Unless otherwise noted all tests shall be performed with Vcc = 5.0 Vdc, Vline = 28 Vdc, ILoad = Rated Current.
The transition time for the control signal shall be less than 1.0 msec in application.
Maximum input repetition rate into shorted load is not to exceed 1 Hz.
Inductive load must be diode suppressed. System series inductance in the short circuit mode shall be less than 30 micro Henry.
SSPC FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The SSPC is commanded ON, OFF and RESET by a
signal at the CONTROL pin. A HIGH signal will turn the
device ON. A low signal or an OPEN condition will turn
the device OFF, If the device trips OFF, the device is
reset by cycling the CONTROL to OFF then ON again.
Overcurrent operation. The device will trip (i.e., turn off) if
the load current exceeds the requirement of FIGURE 4.
Once the device is tripped, it will remain OFF indefinitely,
until the overcurrent condition has cleared and the device
is reset.
The output power section of the SSPC is isolated to the
control section, and both input and output sections are
isolated to the case. Load(s) can be located on either
side or both sides of the SSPC. In other words, the
SSPC is capable of high side switching and low side
switching.
