Offset and Offset Select Registers
(4Dh and 4Eh)
To compensate for remote temperature reporting errors
due to issues with the board layout, the Offset register
(4Dh) and Offset Enable register (4Eh) allow for a twos-
complement value to be added to the final ADC conver-
sion output. The Offset register (4Dh) contains the value
for the shared temperature offset (i.e., the same offset
is applied to all selected remote channels) and has a
programmable ?1.75癈 range.
The Offset Enable register (4Eh) allows the offset to be
selectively enabled for each remote channel.
If EXTRANGE = 0, the minimum digital output values are
clamped at 00h (0癈), regardless of any applied offset.
If EXTRANGE = 1, the maximum digital output values
are clamped at FFh (+191癈), regardless of any applied
offset.
