Note 2: TJ is calculated from the ambient temperature TA and power
dissipation PD as follows:
TJ = TA + (PD 28°C/W) (θJA is simulated per JESD51-7 high
effective thermal conductivity test board)
θJC = 1°C/W (θJC is simulated when heatsink is applied at the
bottom of the package)
Note 3: The LTC3611 is tested in a feedback loop that adjusts VFB to
achieve a specied error amplier output voltage (ITH). The specication at
85°C is not tested in production. This specication is assured by design,
characterization, and correlation to testing at 125°C.
Note 4: The LTC3611 is tested under pulsed load conditions such that
TJ ≈ TA. The LTC3611E is guaranteed to meet specications from
0°C to 125°C junction temperature. Specications over the –40°C to
125°C operating junction temperature range are assured by design,
characterization and correlation with statistical process controls. The
LTC3611I is guaranteed over the full –40°C to 125°C operating junction
temperature range. Note that the maximum ambient temperature
consistent with these specications is determined by specic operating
conditions in conjunction with board layout, the rated package thermal
impedance and other environmental factors.
