Encoder Memory Requirement

Solutions to Help Lower System Expense
The MPEGS420 may be configured by the user to operate at 15 Mb/s (or less) compressed data rate and +/-64H,
+/- 56V search range. This configuration allows the use of 192KB industry standard ASRAM with 12 ns access time
in place of the previously indicated SSRAM as the Search Memory. This configuration will also lower encoder
operating power by 0.3 W.
