GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ADXL105 is a high performance, high accuracy,
complete single axis acceleration measurement system on a
single monolithic IC. The ADXL105 significantly
increased the Bandwidth and reduces noise versus
previously available micromachined devices. The
ADXL105 will measure accelerations with a full-scale
range of
±
5g and produce a calibrated and temperature
compensated analog voltage output.. Typical noise floor is
175ug
√
Hz allowing signals below 1 milli-g to be resolved.
A 10kHz maximum frequency response enables vibration
measurement applications. The product exhibits significant
reduction in offset and sensitivity drift over temperature.
The ADXL105 is a dc accelerometer with the capability to
measure both ac accelerations, (typical of vibration) or dc
accelerations, (such as inertial force or gravity).
Application resistors have been made available for
precalibrated output ranges of 250mV/g, 330mV/g,
500mV/g, 1V/g and 1.5V/g. The device features an on-
board temperature sensor with an output of 10mV/C to
simplify temperature compensation of offset drift vs
temperature for high accuracy application.
The ADXL105 is available in a hermetic 14 pin surface
mount Cerpak, for operation over the 0
°
C to +70
°
C
commercial, and -40
°
C to +85
°
C industrial temperature
ranges.
