The SMC Type B vertical female connector is available in
12, 26 or 50 positions. Variations in board-to-board stack-
ing heights can be achieved by different combinations of the
various connector heights (6.2 mm, 6.7 mm, 8.2 mm and 9
mm). The board-to-board heights are possible between 8.0
mm and 12.2 mm (wipe length 2.5 mm) or up to 14.0 mm
(wipe length 0.7 mm).
Tape-and-reel packaging is available for automatic pick and
place assembly. The black insulator ensures easy recogni-
tion for quick visual identification, and the pre-assembled
pick-and-place cover provides a firm vacuum grip of the
connector. Special contact lead design guarantees exact
placement of the connectors on the PCB. A secure solder-
ing process is possible due to the coplanarity of the con-
tacts and the high temperature insulator. The integrated
metal SMT mounting clip secures the connector on the
PCB for reliable mating and unmating.
