DESCRIPTION
The
SED1540
is
an
LCD
driver
LSI
intended
mainly
for
segment
displays.
It
generates
LCD
driving
signals
from
bit
data
supplied
from
an
8-bit
or
4-bit
microcomputer
via
a
high-speed
MPU
interface
and
stored
in
its
display
RAM.
The
SED1540
provides
as
many
as
73
outputs
and
assures
very
low
power
dissipation
and
a
wide
range
of
operating
voltages.
It
is
best
suited
for
multi-color
display
applications
where
many
pixels
must
be
displayed
with
high
contrast.
The
on-chip
high-capacity
display
RAM
and
powerful
command
function
allow
the
SED1540
to
be
used
for
display
of
messages
on
a
specific
channel
or
as
an
external
memory
of
a
one-chip
microcomputer.
