11. Regulator Output Voltage Stabilization
Capacitors of 0.1 μF or larger must be inserted between the V5 (5 V control circuit power supply) and V12 (12 V low
side drive output circuit power supply) pins and ground. The ground sides of these capacitors must be connected to
points as close as possible to an IC ground pin.
While each of these outputs can provide currents of up to 30 mA to
external circuits, care is required since this can increase IC heating. If this
IC is used as the power supply for the Hall sensor IC and other circuits and
heating becomes a problem, use an external transistor as shown in the
figure so that this heating load is born by that transistor.
